This list is organized in descending order of price, from the most expensive to the most affordable motorcycles that punch above their price tags.
10 Harleys That Still Punch Above Their Weight

2025 Suzuki Boulevard M109R
Price: $15,799
It’s wild to see this 21-year-old cruiser bike still in production. The Suzuki Boulevard M109R is one of the very few metric cruisers that have captured the essence of American V-twin motorcycles quite well. Despite its age, this Suzuki packs a strong punch with one of the biggest V-twin engines out there. It is also the most powerful cruiser bike under $20,000, beating several premium bikes with ease.
The huge V-twin is a liquid-cooled mill that uses a short-stroke design and a valve head derived from the Suzuki GSX-R sports bike line-up. Elsewhere, the curvy yet muscular styling gives it an intimidating and evergreen visual appeal. Features like its massive 240 mm rear tire and drag-style handlebars are distinctive touches. This heavy-duty cruiser bike also features superior hardware, such as inverted front forks and radially mounted brake calipers.

2026 Aprilia Tuareg Rally 660
Price: $13,999
The Aprilia Tuareg is already a capable adventure bike. But its wilder stablemate, the Tuareg Rally 660, dials things up to eleven. This Aprilia performs way above its pay grade, even beating the mighty BMW GS in its game. Currently, the Rally 660 is the sole off-roader in Aprilia’s line-up, and it is positioned as a go-anywhere monster. For a bump of just $1,500 over the standard Tuareg, the Rally flaunts features like a lightweight SC Project titanium exhaust, superior heavy-duty anodized aerospace-grade rims wrapped with aggressive off-roading Pirelli Scorpion Rally STR tires, an aluminum skidplate, and wraparound handguards.
The suspension setup is tuned to take on anything thrown at it and includes a fully-adjustable tuned 43 mm KYB upfront and a progressive linkage KYB rear monoshock. The weight is also down by 10 pounds over the standard model. Not much is different electronically, though. Notable features include cornering traction, cruise control, four ride modes, and cornering engine braking.
8
2026 Yamaha Tracer 9
Price: $12,599
The Yamaha Tracer 9 punches above its price tag by packing premium features and performance for the price of a middleweight. Powering the Tracer 9 is the famed and versatile CP3 engine, also used on a streetfighter and a Ducati-rivaling sports bike. Versatility is key here, and it expands beyond the engine to the chassis setup, hardware, and technology features, making the Yamaha Tracer 9 worthy of being called the ultimate all-rounder.
It is with electronics that the Yamaha punches above its pay grade. A 7-inch full-color TFT with three selectable display themes sits front and center. This screen is the window to an advanced suite of lean-sensitive rider aids, including traction control, slide control, brake control, and even lift control. This cozy touring bike also gets a variable speed limiter. The chassis is lightweight and is suspended on adjustable KYB forks at both ends. Hard side cases and cornering LED lights are standard fitment, too.

2026 Yamaha YZF-R9
Price: $12,499
This is Yamaha’s newest weapon in the middleweight plus category, and it is causing quite a stir. The all-new Yamaha R9 packs enough drama and technology to make the exotic Ducati Panigale V2 sweat, primarily because of its superior VFM appeal. For under $13,000, the R9 is the best middleweight sports bike for riders who want it all. Its versatile CP3 engine adds tractable performance, and a flexible riding triangle keeps things comfy on the streets while offering room for aggression on the tracks. The hardware and technology features take straight inspiration from the mighty Yamaha R1.
Its three-cylinder engine is very versatile, while its aluminum twin-spar frame focuses on controlling weight and keeping the dimensions tight. It gets fully-adjustable KYB suspension at both ends, and braking duties are taken care of by Brembo Stylemas. Finally, segment-leading technology features on the R9 include nine ride modes, a by-wire throttle, a six-axis IMU, and loads of assistive features like traction control, slide control, engine braking control, wheelie control, and launch control.

2026 Kove 800X Pro
Price: $11,299
This is one of the most capable middleweight adventure bikes today, giving the established Yamaha Tenere 700 a serious nudge. Due to limited availability in America, this underrated off-roading ADV goes unnoticed. Powering the 800X Pro is a peppy parallel-twin mill that produces 95 horsepower. What makes the package impressive is its insane power-to-weight ratio: this middleweight ADV weighs just 420 pounds. For reference, the Yamaha Tenere 700 with a smaller engine weighs 459 pounds.
The Kove 800X Pro punches well above its price tag with its premium, rally-derived construction. It gets fully-adjustable KYB suspension at both ends. Other superior hardware features include a steering damper, tubeless tires, and a Tire Pressure Monitoring System as standard fitment.
5
2026 Honda Rebel 1100 DCT
Price: $10,399
Being the only cruiser bike on sale today with an automatic transmission is the only flex this well-rounded, versatile Honda Rebel 1100 needs. But there are several other things to like. It has a well-balanced neo-retro design that complements its rather compact form factor. For a cruiser bike with a liter-class engine, the Rebel 1100 DCT is impressively nimble and compact, too.
The highlight of this cruiser bike is its DCT gearbox, which lets you enjoy a twist-and-go riding experience, akin to a scooter. For those wanting more engagement, tiny toggle switches near the left handle add paddle-shifter vibes to the Rebel. Given the aggressive pricing, it is surprising to find features such as cruise control, selectable riding modes, Showa suspension, and a 5-inch TFT with smartphone connectivity as standard.
4
2026 CFMoto Ibex 800 E
Price: $10,299
The CFMoto Ibex 800 E is powered by a versatile 799 cc parallel-twin engine. Yes, this is a KTM-derived engine. Its performance figures of 94 horsepower and 56.8 pound-feet of torque are quite impressive for the MSRP. And CFMoto has left no stone unturned in the hardware and technology department, either.
Notable features include a bi-directional quickshifter, cruise control, electronic throttle, body protection panels, fully-adjustable KYB suspension, and J.Juan brakes. Furthermore, the electronic suite is top-spec, with ride modes, cornering ABS, traction control, TPMS, wheelie control, and a sizable 8-inch MMI touchscreen display with Apple CarPlay, Bluetooth, and built-in navigation. It is also the only motorcycle in the segment to get a standard radar-based blind spot monitoring system at the rear.

3
2026 CFMoto 675SS
Price: $7,999
For under $8,000, the CFMoto 675SS is a lot of motorcycle, so much so that it feels too good to be true. This is powered by a punchy triple that produces 95 horsepower at 11,000 RPM, thanks to internals like cobalt alloy valves, forged pistons, and a low-inertia crankshaft. Keeping this sports bike lightweight are components, such as a steel chassis, an aluminum swingarm and sub-frame, and cast alloy wheels. All of this helps the CFMoto 675SS keep things under 430 pounds.
Hardware features are top-spec for the segment and match those of a segment above. Notable ones include adjustable KYB suspension and J.Juan brakes with dual discs up front. On the technology front, it comes standard with a 5-inch color TFT display, smartphone connectivity, a tire pressure monitoring system, and even a lap timer. On the assistive and safety front, features like dual-channel ABS, traction control, and a quickshifter are standard.
2
2026 Aprilia RS 457
Price: $6,899
This entry-level sports bike takes the spotlight by packing premium features often found on liter-class offerings. It has a lightweight aluminum frame, while the competition mostly sticks with steel. There’s also 41 mm inverted forks up front and a monoshock at the rear, both with preload adjustability. Braking hardware is highlighted by radially mounted Brembo four-piston calipers, coupled to a 320 mm floating disc up front.
As for technology features, you get ride-by-wire throttle, three-level traction control, and a 5-inch TFT. The display can also be used for Bluetooth connectivity and navigation. On the assistive and safety front, the RS 457 gets a six-axis IMU that offers more control over the ABS and traction control. Finally, performance is via a 270-degree parallel-twin mill.
1
2026 Kawasaki KLX300
Price: $5,649
The most affordable motorcycle that punches above its price tag here is a humble off-roading Kawasaki. The KLX300 is underpowered, with a single-cylinder engine producing 25 horsepower and 17.7 pound-feet of torque. There are no fancy electronics, either. However, this Kawasaki dual-sport stirs things up with its segment-breaching off-roading skills as its capabilities are similar to those of more expensive dual-sport offerings (a lot more). The secret sauce is its robust chassis and suspension hardware.
Despite being at the bottom of the dual-sport bunch, this Kawa still gets a full-sized motorcycle chassis with 21-inch front and 18-inch rear wheels. Also, it flaunts adjustable suspension at both ends. The front comprises 43 mm inverted telescopic forks with adjustable compression damping. The rear gets a gas-charged monoshock with piggyback reservoir and full adjustability. Suspension travel is lavish with 10 inches up front and 9.1 inches at the rear. These bits, along with a curb weight of just 302 pounds, give the Kawasaki KLX300 off-roading skills that shame expensive bikes from a segment above.
